Wireless Expansion
 

Wireless expansion is an attractive option for anyone wanting to add an M1 system to an existing home or expand an M1 system that is already installed.  Wireless sensors can be installed throughout the home with ease and without the mess.   Adding wireless to the M1 can also provide convenient remote control of the system using wireless keyfobs.  


Receivers  
The ELK-M1GOLD and ELK-M1EZ8 support the following wireless receiver manufactured by 
Elk Products.

*The M1XRF2G is ONLY compatible with the 319.5MHz Crystal based transmitters available 
from GE.

This receiver connect to the M1 RS-485 data bus, allowing multiple receivers to be installed, increasing the overall range of the wireless expansion.

The ELK-M1GOLD and ELK-M1EZ8 support the following wireless receiver manufactured by GE.
  • NX548E  48 Wireless Zones
  The ELK-WO35A wiring harness allows the connection of a Caddx wireless receiver to the 
M1 Control.

Transmitters    

Both the ELK-M1XRF2G and NX548E receivers support Caddx and ITI transmitters*.  This includes a variety of sensors including door/window sensors, motion sensors, glass break detectors, carbon monoxide detectors, smoke detectors, water and freeze detectors, etc.

The Caddx Wireless Receivers also support wireless keyfobs.  These keyfobs provide a convenient way to arm and disarm the security system.  The keyfob can also be programmed to open/close the garage door, turn on exterior lighting, etc.

The GE wireless receivers and transmitters should be purchased from you local security/automation distributor.
