Exterior Speakers

What is a speaker?
A device that broadcasts a sound generated by a separate electronic device; such as a siren driver, voice driver, or any other type of audio input. A speaker can play sounds, music, or voice depending on what it is given. It generates no sound without input. Think of your stereo speakers – they can play voice, country music, classical music, rock ‘n roll, etc., depending on the input they are given.  Exterior speakers are designed to be used outdoors.

When would you use one?
When you need to provide voice messages or sounds with the following type systems: security, access control, paging, intercom, music & sound, emergency alert, etc.

What makes Elk Exterior Speakers different? All ELK speakers carry a LIFETIME warranty.

The Problem

The Solution is ELK-1RT

       5" x 5" x 4"

Stainless Steel Enclosure
with Stainless Hardware
30W / 50W Peak

Our best exterior speaker is the ELK-1RT.  Its compact size and reflective surface allow it to blend into its surroundings. The high wattage rating means durability and clear voice/sound reproduction.  The unit closes, locks, and tampers with one stainless steel bolt and all parts will hang off the back-plate so the installer is not juggling parts while wiring the unit.

Which one will do the job?
Choose the proper wattage. For voice messages or connecting to a powerful siren driver, choose 20W or better.  When esthetics are important, choose ELK-1RT.
