I have a rather large layout for my ELK M1 system with a remote area containing several keypads and zone expanders. Daisy chaining the keypads in this remote area will be next to impossible so a ELK-M1DBHR Date Bus Hubs would be the perfect solution. However, the ELK-M1DBHR will be around a 150′ wire length from the M1 control board and the instructions for the ELK-M1DBHR specifically state to NOT mount the hub remote from the M1. These keypads will also need to have their own power supply (the ELK-P212S) and wired according to the diagram in the hub’s instructions. What is the issue with remotely mounting the Hub from the main control board?
