Are we able to get notifications of ElkConnect App?

Or do you only get email notifications for Alarms?

We typically provide an email to use for the clients, so we are managing the system.

      Thx

The end user manages the notifications. Email, App Push, and SMS/Text are all options they can utilize.

        • Email is enabled by default based on the email that is used via the account invite that is sent when you add the customer to the system.
        • App Push must be enabled in the ElkConnect User Web Portal under Notifications in the left hand menu, then the user must connect to control panel with the app at least once to sync it.
        • SMS/Text. The user must add their mobile number and carrier in the user settings in the ElkConnect User Web Portal. User settings are accessed my clicking their user intials above the sign out option on the site. Once added, they will need to go to Notifications in the user portal and enable SMS/Text notifications.

        Thanks,

        Mike

We recently updated the SMS/Text back end processing to utilize a true SMS/Text system. The prior system used an email to SMS/Text function that carriers provided, earlier this year ATT and Verizon ended support for this, so we transitioned to the new process.

That said, the old system did not support Bell and Rogers. I am under the impression that the new system does, let me talk with engineering to see if we are actually still utilizing “carriers” information and if so, what needs to be selected. I believe the carrier is not needed, so selecting anything might work.

I will update when I have more information.

I apologize, I just talked with Engineering. We have not transitioned to the new service as of yet. So that said, we do not currently support Bell and Rogers. I will update that this thread when it is implemented, I do not know as of yet.
