Update:
So I have installed the M1XRF319 and powered off the M1 and it is on RS-485 via the ELK-M1DBH data bus hub and plugged it in to J5 and then plug the RJ45 Terminating Plug into J6 and power up the M1 and the M1XRF319 is not powering on and has no lights lit up.
I powered off the M1 yet again, so I decided to move the M1XRF319 to J4 where my M1XSLZW is plugged into and move the M1XSLZW to J5, and moved the Terminating Plug to J6 and I powered on the ELKM1 and viola the M1XRF319 is powered on and working. So I am like great. I assign the bus address 5 to M1XRF319 as that is the next available address according to my ELKRP software using the M1XEP and then perform an enrollment and all my devices fall off and show device is missing. I try to re-enroll and get nothing all my devices (Keypads x 3, M1XRFTW Transceiver, And the M1XSLZW).
Then I power off the M1 and unplug the M1XRF319 from the data bus hub and then plug the M1XSLZW back into J4 and plug the RJ45 Terminating Plug back in J5 and then power on the M1 and then enroll all devices and everything comes back online as normal.
I am confused I read all manuals even the M1 install manual, the data hub manual, and the M1XRF319 manual and still confused as the purpose of the Terminating plug is to be resistor for the last device in the bus chain for the data bus hub. Do I need a resistor on the ElkXRF319 if it the last device (Plugged into J5) and not the RJ45 Terminating Plug (Plugged into J6)? If I need the resistor then what is the purpose of the RJ45 Terminating Plug?
I have the M1XRFTW plugged into the four-wire connection on the M1 and NOT on the Data Bus Hub. I did use Cat5 for all the connections made to the Data Bus Hub for all devices connected up to the Data Bus Hub. Under the ELKRP software I do show one of my Keypads (M1KP2/KP3) and the M1XRFTW sharing Bus Address 2. Is this normal or should that be addressed? It is working just fine though as is.
Any ideas how to fix the ElkM1XRF319 and also is my data bus address 2 fine? Thank you.
