Due to system requirements for monitoring the condition of the backup battery, the E27 does not provide an option within the application to disable backup battery supervision.

The Low Battery Trouble condition is generated when the voltage present at the battery input terminals falls below the required threshold. From a technical standpoint, applying a suitable 12 VDC source to the battery input terminals would maintain the voltage above this threshold and prevent a Low Battery Trouble condition from being reported.

Please note that ELK recommends the use of a properly sized backup battery to provide standby operation and comply with applicable installation requirements. The specific deployment, including whether backup power is provided and how it is implemented, is the responsibility of the installer and should be evaluated based on the requirements of the installation, applicable codes, standards, and the expectations of the end user.

If backup power is required for the installation, a properly supported backup battery should be installed and maintained in accordance with the system documentation.
