John,
Thank you for the feedback on the automation events and Z-Wave. We have made some improvements to the calls related to Z-Wave devices.
I suspect that the version of TouchScreen you are using may continue to degrade as we finalize the E27 CB firmware to be ready for the touchscreen release. The version you currently have was a placeholder. If you are interested in beta testing the actual AE TouchScreen application, I would be happy to push it to your device for an update. I just need your touchscreen serial number. However, please be aware that this version is not yet ready for public use. If this is for a demo, you will be able to see the improvements and the direction we are heading. Note that features like alarm pop-ups, troubles, entry timers, etc., are not fully implemented yet. The latest mobile app version includes a new section in the app called “Network Devices,” where you will manage the touchscreen and its settings. It will also use a completely new connection manager and process introduced in the 0.5.37 E27 firmware. While the version you are currently using functions like the mobile app, the new version will operate more like a true wall-mounted touchscreen, which has different performance requirements compared to a mobile app that is session-based.
The keypad and control have been reworked to respect “quiet time” better. What you might be experiencing could be due to a version mismatch between the keypad and the control. Please confirm that if you are running E27CB 0.5.37 firmware on the control, you are also running AEKP 0.2.46 firmware on the keypad. Also, check the “quiet time” settings on the keypad settings page. By default, it is set from 11 p.m. to 6 a.m. During this period, the keypad will “blank out” and suppress chimes, troubles, etc during this time period. Alarms and entry delay timers will override quiet time. We will soon release an additional updated AEKP firmware (likely AEKP 0.2.48) to address an invalid PIN lockout bug we discovered this week. This update should be available hopefully next week depending on testing.
Thank you again for your feedback.
Best regards,
Mike
