    Push notifications are only supported for end-user logins to the app. Since you are both a dealer and an end user for this account, it adds some complexity.

    For push notifications to work, you must first enable them on the ElkConnect website when logged in as a User. Then log in to the app using the same User credentials and connect to the system at least once. Doesn’t matter which PIN you connect to the system with (Installer or End User), it matters which User Name and Password is used to login into the app. Once you do this it syncs to the push server and activates the push notifications.

    If you log in to the app with your dealer account (user name and password) on the same mobile device, it will clear the push notifications because dealer logins are restricted from receiving them. The next time you log in with your User credentials and connect to the control, push notifications will resume. It is the act of logging in as a dealer on the app that clears the push option.

    I will review with the app team whether it’s necessary to prevent dealers from receiving push notifications. Personally, I run into the same issue since I’m both the installer and the user for my own home.
