I have 2 Cosmods for two strings of smoke / co detectors.  The only way to reset them after an alarm is to remove power.  I’ve been told I need to use a relay with an output to cut power on disarm.  I’ve installed the relays for each chain of detectors, but I am unclear about how to program the rule to reset the two strings when an alarm for fire or CO is acknowledged.

Neil, is this resolved?  We used the “Switched Aux Power” to power the Cosmods.  The smoke reset function will reset the detectors.

I installed 2 relays on outputs 8 and 9. What im unclear about is how and when to trip the relay (on for 2 seconds).

I didn’t need relays.   Used the “switched aux power” as Chuck indicated.   Perhaps there’s a good diagram for setting these up with an Elk M1G for those that are integrating them?

Neil, if this has not been resolved.  We use 2-outputs, 1 for smoke trigger; 1 for CO Trigger.  The rules are “When a fire (or CO) is in alarm”, “Then turn on output #, for 12 minutes”.  We add a rule to turn off the output if the alarm is turned off.  I hope this helps.
