I have an older M1Gold panel that I am trying to install for the first time. I am using the ElkRP v. 2.0.34 on Windows 10. After flailing about to connect with the M1XEP, I found the M1XEP_Diagnostics_Full_Install_1.1.0 and was able to connect on my home network after updating the M1XEP firmware. I am able to connect and now trying to update the firmware on the M1Gold and having issues.

If I use Help-download updates, I get an update error, “the request was aborted, could not create SSL/TLS secure channel”. I searched online, and this looked like a standard Windows 10 security issue, and went in and checked Internet Options-Advanced-Security and verified “use TLS 1.2” was enabled. I tried toggling ports between 2601 and 2101 and also toggling connect non-secure. I could try with an older RP version on a Windows XP Pro box. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks.

Update your ElkRP2 Software from the website and try again
