Are you able to connect to the system using the ElkRP2 software? If so you can learn in a wireless device from ElkRp2 if you have the Honeywell serial number. From keypad programming:

        • Press the ELK key, screen should display 1-View/Control Automation Fncts
        • Press the 9 key, screen should display 9-Installation Programming (0)
        • Press the right arrow key and you should be prompted “Auth Required Enter Valid PIN — This is the Installer Level Keypad Programming Code
        • Screen should display 01-Bus Module Enrollment
        • Type 14, screen should display 14-Wireless Setup
        • Press the right arrow key, screen should display 1: Rec Sel {Up/Down symbols} Prg {right arrow symbol} Receiver Options
        • Type 3 and screen should display 3: Learn Sel {Up/Down symbols} Prg {right arrow symbol} Wireless Transmtr
        • Press the Right Arrow key
        • Type in the 3 digit zone number for the zone you want to learn in and press the right arrow key
        • Screen will display WZone = xxx (xxx= the zone number to learn in) TransmitrToLrn
        • Press the right arrow key
        • Insert the battery into the sensor or trip the tamper switch or move the magnet away from the sensor
        • When Learned In you should hear a chime from the keypad and the keypad screen will advance to the next available wireless zone
        • Press the ELK Key to save

Additional information can be found starting on page 47 of the M1 Installation Manual and within the M1XRF2Hv2 Installation Manual

Is the Honeywell serial number in the receiver box or where is it?

I can connect to the M1Xep through ELKrp.

Can you please give the process through ELKrp? I believe through Rp will be easier?

The Honeywell serial number is a 7 digit number located on the wireless sensor.

            Have you enrolled the M1XRF2H?

Have you created a Wireless Group in ElkRP2?

            If so:

            • Under Zone (Inputs) click on your Wireless Group x
            • Click on the zone number you want to configure
            • Set the Zone Definition, Type and any other option you need to select
            • Click “Wireless Setup”
            • Check “Enabled”
            • Supervised will either be 0 = Not Supervised for FOBs, 1 = Normal Supervision for Window/Door, 3 = Fire Supervision for Smoke Detectors
            • In the H ID box enter the 7 digit serial number for the Honeywell Wireless Sensor
            • In most cases the LOOP will equal 1 or reference the Honeywell instructions for the LOOP setting
            • Click SAVE and Close the “Change Wireless Zone” window
            • From the Zone page click “Send to Control” or “Send and Say”

              Thank you.

              • From what I see, the Loop should be 2 for smoke detectors – can you please confirm the loop number again? I will also look at the Honeywell instructions.
              • Also, once the H ID is entered, what happens in Tx ID and DL?

              Brad Weeks

In most cases the LOOP will be 1 for the Honeywell compatible smoke detectors. When you enter the Honeywell serial number in the H ID field the TxID and DL will automatically fill in.

Should have asked this earlier – once the serial is entered in H ID and saved – at what point is the tab pulled to activate the a batteries? And test?

After the zone is completely configured Zone Def, Type, Wireless Setup, Enabled Checked, LOOP and H ID entered then remove the battery tab and test
