Michael,  Are there any plans to provide not ready and/or trouble information directly on the keypad rather than x zones not ready or trouble press elk?  Scrolling info. is rather the industry standard.

        John,

I appreciate the feedback. This has been discussed internally in the past, and it’s something I would like to see implemented as well. Honestly, I don’t recall where I left off with that discussion with engineering.

In relation to this, if it were to be implemented and the system had both a trouble condition and not ready sensors, I’d like to get your input on how it should behave. For example, should it scroll through the “not ready” sensors first and then through the trouble conditions? Would that be acceptable if there’s a large number of sensors are not ready, say, more than 10 sensors?

Should we consider scrolling the “not ready” sensors only when there are fewer than a certain number or when no trouble condition is present? Essentially, if there are just a few “not ready” sensors, it could scroll, but if there’s a higher number or both troubles and not ready sensors, maybe it should prompt the user to access the menu instead.

I’m just looking for feedback from you or anyone else following this thread. Your input helps us refine the offering to accommodate a wider audience of users.

        Thanks,
        Mike

Mike, Scrolling trouble then not ready with any number of sensors would be fine.  Consistency in that as opposed to having different actions for different numbers of faults would be easier to explain to customers.  Having the option to also press the ELK button to access the trouble list or not ready list separately would be close to ideal.  I still would like some way to see loop resistances for troubleshooting purposes, not necessarily end user accessible.
