I want to add 5 Zwave Shades (Somfy motor with Graber Virtual Cord Remote) to my M1 Gold system.  That’s all.  Seems like all roads point to Universal-Devices EISY, an expensive and complicated option that does 100 times what I need.  Then I came across Hubitat but all activity on their forum on this topic ended a couple years ago.  Anyone have experience doing this?

This is the Github repository for the Hubitat Elk M1 integration

        https://github.com/thecaptncode/hubitat-elkm1

Zwave support is native to Hubitat and relatively simple to set up.

Adding a repository like the github above can be a little confusing the first time.

Once it is set up it will appear in the rules machine in the Apps and you can write automations there.

I use Home Assistant (actually a Home Assistant Yellow, but you can install Home Assistant on a large range of hardware).   This way I have both Z-wave and Zigbee support and Home Assistant has a full integration available for the Elk M1G.   This way I can have a nice touch panel running the Home Assistant iOS app on an iPad.   Android software is available as well, so pretty much any inexpensive tablet can become your interaction to all the features.
