The employees who will be using ElkRP within your company are called operators. They will enter customer account information, connect to customers’ system, and program the systems.
Following installation, anyone may use ElkRP. By default, Multi-operator Access is turned off. It may be sufficient to leave it that way, depending on your company’s policies. For added security, however, Multi-operator Access should be enabled. When it is enabled, operators are required to log on with a password to use ElkRP. The system administrator selects the passwords and selects which features each operator can use.
To enable or disable Multi-operator Access, select Operators from the Setup menu, enter the administrator’s password if prompted, and then click on Enable multi-operator access. Once enabled, you can add, edit, and remove operator names.
Names and passwords may be up to thirty characters long, and may consist of any letter, number, or other character.
When adding or editing an operator, the system administrator may select various features that the operator can use. The system administrator may want to do this, for example, to restrict a recently hired employee from seeing customers’ user codes, whereas a trusted senior employee may be given full access.
