Enrolling Older Two-Way Wireless Sensors with only a TX-ID
The E27 Alarm Engine uses an EX-ID to identify Two-Way wireless sensors. Some older Two-Way Wireless sensors may be labeled with only a TX-ID. There are two options to learn in these sensors:
- If the label of these sensors has a QR code, the code can be scanned from the ElkConnect app to enroll the sensor.
- If the sensor does not have a QR code, it may be learned in manually. However, this requires a simple translation of the TX-ID to an EX-ID, by inserting 2 extra digits in the correct location.
Determining the Correct EX-ID based on the TX-ID and Sensor Model
The TX-ID of ELK Two-Way sensor consists of 6 characters. The EX-ID of Two-Way sensors consist of 8 digits. To convert the TX-ID to an EX-ID, follow these steps:
- Start with the first digit of the TX-ID
- Add the 2 Digit Model Identifier (See Chart Below)
- Complete the EX-ID with the remaining 5 digits of the TX-ID
| Sensor Model | 2 Digit Identifier | Example TX-ID | Example EX-ID |
| ELK-6010 | 10 | F12345 | F1012345 |
| ELK-6011 (Prior to June 2022) | 10 | F12346 | F1012346 |
| ELK-6011 (After June 2022) | 11 | F12346 | F1112346 |
| ELK-6020(BR) | 20 | A12345 | A2012345 |
| ELK-6021(BR) | 21 | A12346 | A2112346 |
| ELK-6022 | 22 | A12347 | A2212347 |
| ELK-6023(BR) | 23 | A12348 | A2312348 |
| ELK-6030(P) | 30 | 412345 | 43012345 |
| ELK-6032 | 24 | A12349 | A2412349 |
| ELK-6040 | 40 | 912345 | 94012345 |
| ELK-6050 | 50 | 212345 | 25012345 |
| ELK-6051 | 51 | A12350 | A5112350 |

| ELK-6053 | 53 | 212347 | 25312347 |
EXAMPLE
This ELK-6030 Sensor has a TX-ID of 400FA9.
FIRST CHARACTER + INDENTIFIER + REMAINING CHARACTERS
4 30 00FA9
Following the steps above, the EX-ID of this sensor is 43000FA9
