Michael, Yes the 6022 with a contact such as this (Floor Water Sensor for Flood and Leak Detection (6 ft) – Amazon.com) is working for me to detect water leaks.  All you need to do is drill a small hole in the case for the sensor and connect and program as mentioned above and your all set.
