Three of my wired zones are no longer working – bad cables somewhere.  My installer is going to add a wireless receiver to the system.

I am only planning on having 3 wireless zones and will probably never have more than 10, so zones 17 to 32 for wireless.

The documentation seems to imply that I cannot have a M1XIN at bus address 3 (zones 33 to 48) if I have a ELK-M1XRFTWM at bus address 2.  Is this correct?

I’m asking because we have rules for various zones and I’m wondering if I can get by without changing rules for zones 33 to 48.

      Thanks!

The M1XRFTWM Must start at address #2 and you can add a total of 4 M1XRFTWMs to the M1 Data Bus addresses 2,3,4,5. If you have the an M1XIN at Address #2 it must be readdressed higher in the list and those zones reassigned. If you Only have One M1XRFTWM it is OK to have the M1XIN at Address #3 BUT you will not be able to assign a Wireless Group 3 (Zones 33 – 48)
