Do I understand correctly that the C1M1 completely replaces the need for a M1XEP?  Does the C1M1 also access to the RP2 software?

      Thanks!

The M1XEP and C1M1 are two separate modules each offering a different set of  benefits. It is not possible to have the M1XEP and the C1M1 connected to the M1 at the same time! The M1XEP Ethernet Interface allows the M1 to be connected to the local are network or accessed through the internet for programming using the ElkRP2 Software or by the Integration Partner APPs. In order to access the site remotely you will need to Port Forward the Secure Port 2601 and know the public IP Address for the site. The M1XEP also supports sending Alarm Signal to a central monitoring station over the internet provide the central station has either the DSC Surgard or OH 2000E Internet Receivers. The M1XEP will support up to 16 pre-defined email/text messages which can be sent using the ElkRP2 Rules.

The C1M1 allows the M1 to be connected to the local are network or accessed through the internet for programming using the ELkRP2 Software or by the Integration Partner APPS. Remote connectivity is provided through the ElkLink Prox Server with no port forwarding required. The C1M1 (LTEV and LTEA) is a Dual Path Communicator with reports alarm signals primarily over internet first but if unable will revert to a cellular pathway to a DSC Surgard Internet Receiver. The C1M1 requires registration by a licensed Security Installer or Low Voltage Contractor and is NOT a Do-It-Yourself or self-installer product!!.  There is an online central station monitoring service geared towards the Do-It-Yourselfer that can assist a DIYer with setup of a C1M1. The C1M1 does offer a free mobile app which is very, very basic Arm, Disarm and viewing history events (that is all). The email and text notification can be setup to send email/text messages to 10 individuals  and would include basic System is Armed or Disarmed or has gone into  Alarm. The message does not include any additional data for example User ID or Zone ID. It is not possible to send emails/text from the ElkRP2 Rules.

            Brad,

Just to clarify, Can the C1M1 communicate with automation hubs such as ISY or HomeSeer?  Or is this strictly thru the M1XEP?
