It says on the support page for claiming a panel “All E27 Controls must be claimed and assigned through ElkConnect cloud portal prior to configuration” . Does anyone know what will happen if we try and claim the panel after it has already been configured onsite? We are new to these panels, and my installer configured the panel before we claimed it. If we insert an SD card and back up the Panel, can we then restore it after it is claimed?
There is no issue with claiming it after the fact. We just make that statement due to it needing to be claimed if you plan to access it remotely for configuration. It will not show up in the list of panels that are accessible from the cloud until it is claimed. The claiming process is all cloud based, it does not impact the programming or configuration of the control.
