1) I have rule turning on a Z-Wave security light (currently configured as an “output”, not a “light”) which my neighbor complained about at 3:00AM. There doesn’t seem to be a way to disable outputs like you can inputs (PS. That would be a good feature to have!). Anyways, called up the Rules and clicked on that rule’s “disable” icon (the one that kind of looks like an eye swith a slash). When I did that, ALL the rules disable icons went dim for a couple seconds, then came back. Post-blink, there’s no indication that rule (or any rule) was disabled from looking at the screen (I wasn’t able to test). And I didn’t get any notices telling me any rule had changed and to re-load them to the engine. The icons just all blinked.
2) Tried to disable the rule above a couple times and the system seemed to crash. Got a bunch of fetch failures, which cleared on their own in about 5 minutes. I ended up deleting the rule to be sure, which seemed to go normally. I then discovered I had left the Elk connect on my phone actively connected while I was changing the rules above, if that had any interference.

You can also drag rules into the disabled rules section. You still need to click save rules to panel since this a website it uses a “push/pull” method for editing data in the panel.

I click on an enable button, ALL enable\dsiable buttons momentarily grey out and come back, no indication a save is needed, and when I do save, nothing changes. The rule is still in the disabled list.
Now, I also can’t disable any rules. I go through the motions and no change.
Then I tried a reload from alarm engine and the disabled rules disappeared entirely: “no rules to display” (and didn’t go to the enabled list)
Finally, I think the visual behavior is also not right: if I edit a rule, the “reload” and “save rule” boxes light up red and green respectively, then go back to grey after the rules are saved. If I need to save a “disable” I would have expected the same behavior, i.e., the save box to light up as well, but it stays grey the whole time with no indication a save is needed (and why do ALL rules disable\enable icons blink, that makes no sense).

Based on your feedback, we verified a bug in the editor that must have come up with a recent publish. I have the web team looking into this and it marked as a critical issue that needs addressing asap. As it stands at the moment, disabling is not working as you noted. The “blinking” your getting is a result of the page reloading with no change due to the issue. It is not prompting the save option due to it not accepting the change for disabling. I will update this thread when we publish the fix for it.
Thanks,
Mike
