      My ELK-7TS says there is an update, but every time I try to update, the update fails with a “Touchscreen Update Error” that reads “The touchscreen has been unsuccessfully updated to SW1.0.534. ” What do I need to do to get this update working?  I’ve tried to update it multiple times over the course of several months and have power cycled multiple times. It has taken updates previously without issues, so I’m at a loss of what to do.

        Follow the steps in the video to see if this fixes the Updating Firmware in the 7TS

        https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UZvkToRemy8

        If you run into an issue during the update you may have to do the following :

        At the 7TS

        • Check to make sure the 7TS is displaying the +13 GMT Time
        • Click the menu icon (thee lines) in the upper left hand corner
        • Click Installer Settings
        • Enter the Installer Code 172839
        • Click Submit
        • On the Installer Setting Tab you should see an Update is Available
        • Please run the update to Firmware 1.0.534
        • Once the update is complete use ElkRP2 to set the M1 back to the correct Time

        Here is a link to the latest 7TS 1.0.534 Release Notes https://elk-manuals.s3.amazonaws.com/ELK-7TS+M1+App+Release+Notes.pdf

        In the M1XEP Setup under TCP/IP Setting Tab make sure the Non-Secure Port 2101 is enabled and sent to the M1XEP

        In the 7TS Profile under Installer Settings:

        • Profile Name {you create the name for example Front Door}
        • IP Address {the IP Address of the M1XEP on the LAN}
        • M1 User Code {a valid Arm/Disarm code programmed in the M1}
        • Local Area Connection via: M1XEP
        • Port 2101
        • Un-check “Use Secure Connection”
        • Un-check “Use User Name and Password”
        • Check “Connect Automatically on Startup
        • Click Save
        • Click Connect
