Elk customer service treats you like you have no knowledge of their products and treat you like crap.
I have been an Elk supporter for 10+ years.  No more, will be looking else where.  Elk is outdated and they treat their customers likes crap.

I’m sorry you had a bad experience when reaching out to us today. Was this in regards to the ElkRP Access Code? The ElKRP Access code is a six digit code that can only be viewed and changed while connected to the system using the ElkRP2 software. Through keypad programming you can view the Serial Number (8 digit number) of the system (Globals G43) but not the ElkRP Access Code. In order to connect to the M1EZ8 you must have the ELK M1EZ8MSI Interface which connects to J5 on the M1EZ8. Using the MSI Interface you can direct connect to the M1EZ8 using a USB to RS232 Serial Cable or over the Local Area Network using the M1XEP.

As a newer member to the Elk community this is an interesting but concerning post.
Seemingly there’s more to Brenda’s experience than is evident here but my concern is that my post from Friday Sept 9 (“Zwave (or Zigbee) integration (2022)”) has yet to have a reply. I appreciate that it has only been 2 business days but it’s a question that has previously been asked in this forum (by Bob Hoevenaars on Sept 27 2021) and similarly ignored.
          What’s up with that?

The M1 Forum has been provided as a courtesy for those in the M1 community to ask questions, share ideas or find out how others created solutions to certain applications. The website also has  great resources for information about products https://www.elkproducts.com/products-by-category/ ; Integration Partners https://www.elkproducts.com/m1-integration-partners/ ; support https://www.elkproducts.com/support/ ; plus much more. The forum is not constantly monitored by a member of the ELK Team but we do try to answer post when time permits.
