      Hello,

I have 2 IP232 units. Both are undiscoverable with the utility software and the LED is blinking orange. I tried different power supply but same result. Any suggestions?

      Thanks,

      Dave

Please use the instructions on page 14 of the IP232 Installation Manual to make sure the IP232 is set to DHCP Mode.

          Hi Brad,

I followed the instructions. LED blinks orange about 2 per second regardless of jumper position. Ethernet port LEDs remain dark when plugged into the network switch.

Are these new units or have they been in service for awhile?

They are probably about 15 or 16 years old at this point. They had been unused for a  few years but a new use case recently presented itself so I was going to put them back into service…

Are you connecting the IP232 to a PoE Switch? If so please try connecting to a non PoE to see if this makes a difference

I have only non-PoE switches (2 different ones), same behavior for both.

Are you running the IP232 Config Utility on Windows 10 or 11? The Orange/Yellow LED should be on solid.

Windows 11. The LED is solid orange for ~ 2sec on power-up then it goes to flashing ~ 2times per sec.  Port LEDs remain dark (both IP232s and switch).
