The latest round of firmware updates seem to have created a new, but correctable problem.  Several wireless sensors that are used for automation only on a system were moved back into the main area.  They had been moved into a “special” area to stop the incessant trouble beeping as a work around.  Needless to say, the return of the endless beeps resulted in an unhappy customer until the problem could be located and the zones moved back into their special zone.

Interesting! We did make some changes to how the TX IDs are stored in the system, particularly for the 319 MHz sensors. Just to confirm, you had some wireless sensors in, say, Area 2, but after the firmware update, they moved to Area 1? I want to test this out, but I’m trying to make sure I fully understand the situation and what happened.

Also, I believe we’ve addressed the issue with the beeps on the automation zones. They should no longer generate trouble beeps. You also have the option to disable chimes on the automation zones in the sensor settings. Additionally, we added the ability to select “Do not Log” if you don’t want them to appear in the history.

By default, the keypad ignores automation zones unless the chime is enabled for a specific zone. In that case, it will chime the keypad, but still won’t display on the keypad screen.

You shouldn’t experience any trouble alerts for these zone types anymore.

Yes, they moved from the “special” zone to the main zone.  System has eight wireless zones of which most are automation and 36 zones total.
