Is there an automation controller, that will send lighting status back to the M1, when the light is turned on or off manually at the switch? I like to use ELK to write my rules so it needs to know what state the light is in for the rule to run correctly. Any help is appreciated.
If it is that important, you could use a relay to do this. 120VAC coil to sense the status of the power to the light, then wire the relay contacts to a zone.
