This last week I acquired and installed an Elk 319DWM Mini -Door/Window Transmitter. I set up two zones, the first of which I identified as Zone 25 and the second as Zone 26. I defined the first one as the Piezo Sensor and the second as the Door Switch. I followed the instructions to the letter in configuring the zones and I have .JPGs showing the definitions of each. I added the number 1 to the Tx ID of the first wireless zone onto the end of the Tx ID of the second.
I continue to have a “Lost Transmitter” message on all keypads. Even though the M1G shows ready to arm for all zones on all keypads and in the Status Window, if I check the status of the system it shows “Lost Transmitter Trouble.” If I check the log, I find an error (1381) That says “Transmitter Transmission Supervision Loss (ZN 25).” If I press the * key the keypad beeps like it is acknowledging my recognition, but the M1G status does not change. If I open the Status Window, for Zone 25 it shows “Trouble” and for Zone 26 it says “Normal.”
How do I correct this?

The 319DWM is a single zone sensor and should not be learned into two zones.
January 27, 2026 at 12:13 pm #9870Gary HansenThat’s not what the instructions that were in the box with the sensor. I looked at the instructions for this device that can be downloaded, and they are very different from what comes in the box.
Thanks for the reply, Brad.
February 2, 2026 at 11:13 am #9921Gary HansenSo it turns out that even though my distributor’s purchase receipt shows Elk-319DWM, the actual unit I got was an Elk-319WS. So, other than the identification of the product, my circumstances described in my original posting are still the case. Can I merely disable the zone for the Shock Sensor and have the Reed Sensor still function properly?

The 319WS is a Window and Shock and to use both this would require two separate zones . If using just the Window this is one zone and you must add 1 to the last digit of the TxID number or manually Learn In the sensor through keypad programming
February 2, 2026 at 2:46 pm #9923Gary HansenBrad, thank you very much. I will simply delete the zone I created for shock and keep the zone I created by adding 1 to the last digit of the TxID number.
