After upgrading my M1 Gold firmware to 5.3.30, it started to issue “Low RF Battery” warnings for the key fobs. The key fob batteries were not low and replaced with new batteries, but it continues to issue “Low RF Battery” warnings in the system log and on the keypads. Also eKeypad has 0 volt warnings for both wireless remote key fobs. Suggestions?
Which wireless keyfobs are you using? When replacing the battery remove the old battery and let the sensor sit for ~30 seconds before inserting the new battery. When you press a button on the Fob that should clear the Low Battery or you might need to power cycle the system and then see if the message returns. I checked with the eKeypad developer and the eKeypad APP does not read the voltage on the zones so seeing 0 Volts does not mean the voltage is actually 0 V
Issue resolved. Following your advice, I replaced both 4-buttton keyfob batteries with new and waited for more than 30 seconds before inserting the new battery. Keyfob button activations did not resolve “Low RF Battery” warnings, but after a system power cycle, the low battery warnings were gone and the eKeypad is no longer showing the 0 volt warnings. Thank you for the advice. All is well again.
