M1 Data Bus over Network Lantronix UDS1100

Has anyone expanded an M1 system over a network? Looking to use the Lantronix UDS1100’s. 2 building and only have fiber between the two buildings. Would also like to use it at a few other locations where there is IP network between say a house and barn, plus a Category cable for the M1 bus, have had a fair amount of blown out equipment because of surge or lightening.

Lyle, did you ever give this a try?  If so what was the out come.

I did but did not get very farm. Elk could not provide much information to program the UDS1100’s so we had to run a cable for one location and 2 panels at another location.
