what is the proper sequence for calibrating the sensor its reading 3 deg High. I see there is calibration buttons and I know somewhere I’ve seen a calibration sequence but cant find it now.

Remove the cover and locate the “-“, “T”, and “+” solder pads. Take a small flat blade screwdriver and momentarily touch from “-” to “T” three times to lower the reading by 3 degrees.
