After setting up new user, was checking notifications.  Noticed two things:

      1) Don’t seem to be getting phone text message notices, either him or me.  I hadn’t noticed before.   Am getting app-pushes and email notices, but texts don’t seem to be arriving (not in spam either).  I know some ISPs block auto-generated messages, so this might be something to do with that, so hard to tell if a bug or not.

      2) App pushes only seem to arrive when phone is connected to wifi.  If phone is on cellular service only, we don’t seem to get them.  My phone is always connected to wifi where ever it is, so I never noticed this.  This particular user is a bit paranoid about hacking and surveillance, so never connects his phone to wifi network, even in his own house, only uses cellular service.

Text notifications are temporarily disabled due to our notification service ending support for them. We are actively working towards an alternative solution.

Push notifications not working over cellular is not something we have seen reported. I have tested and confirmed they are working via cell via IOS. I will test Android tomorrow, but I don’t foresee this being an issue with the app or system.

Push notifications are all managed by a Google API that sends the message to the device (iOS and Android). The method in which the phone is connected is not taken into consideration by Google. But again, we will do some testing to assure this.

Is it possible that the mobile data is restricted to the app?

Everything seemed ok.  I checked the phone and app settings. Notifications are allowed and on.  Can’t see anything obvious.

I tried turning my phone’s network connection off and tripped the alarms and other things and didn’t get the pushes either.  But they all came in a big wave when I connected to wifi again.

Probably a phone setting, but I can’t see what would be blocking anything.  Its Android v11

Another odd notification issue:  I am getting email notices to a gmail account, but the system is not currently set up to do that.  The notification selection for that email is turned OFF in the “Notifications” tab.  The only other place that email appears is in the contact info of the master owner\user, but I would assume that would not be used for notices.
