I can’t connect to my M1XEP/M1 from outside the LAN.

I’ve updated my M1XEP, M1G, app, and even my router’s firmware. I went thru all the debug procedures at http://www.droidsoft.net. I’ve checked that my port is open (it is). I’ve even opened 2101 and tried to access the M1XEP unsecured, but no – that didn’t work either. I uninstalled and reinstalled the android app. Nope. I’ve verified and reverified my wan address.

BUT I still can’t connect from outside the LAN.  I CAN connect within the LAN from both a Windows 11 system AND and the android app on an Android 14 phone.

I’m a computer geek and have always been able to resolve computer/network issues on Windows, Linux, Android with no problems. But I’m stumped. Any ideas?

And as I wrote that, I realized that there was ONE thing I didn’t check – and that was to access the panel via cellphone data (as opposed to via wifi/lan). Now… I’m not sure how that could possibly make a difference, but it did.

Problem solved. But you Elk techs really need to simplify this connection mess.
