I want to put tamper switches in several outdoor junction boxes to notify me via my M1G when a box is opened. The boxes will be up to 1500 feet from the nearest M1G zone card. I can pull cable thru underground PVC conduit that runs to each box in a daisy chain. It seems like the easiest thing to do is to pull cat6 cable and use one pair per sensor. Will this work, or is cat6 cable (direct burial but in conduit, shielded 23AWG solid core copper) too thin for this?
