<p style=”text-align: left;”>I have 2 System Sensor COSMOD2W in an M1 Gold panel. Can they be connected to the same zone on the main panel or do they each need their own zone?

Generally the COSMOD2W is used in conjunction with the System Sensor i4 Series combo Smoke/Co unit and the COSMOD2W will provide two separate zones to a control panel one for smoke and the other for CO each zone having its own EOLR.

<p style=”text-align: left;”>Yes, understood. But can I tie both smoke zones from the COSMOD2W’s together on one zone on the M1 panel? Hope that makes sense.

The COSMOD2W Interface allows you to configure the Panel EOLR on the COSMOD2W therefore you can use a 2.2K Ohm Resistor and connect the output from the COSMOD2W to any zone configured for 4-Wire Smoke. In this way you are not limited to using Zone 16 for smoke detectors.

              Ok, thanks for the explanation.
