Greetings,
Long time Elk M1G owner but shamefully it has not been used literally for years. I am keen to get back into it, update the firmware and work out how to make it communicate with my Clipsal CBus and my Control4 networks.
When I try to connect using ElkRP it finds the unit ok and I have opened the port correctly (well I think I have) and when I try to connect I get a message saying unable to connect, port not open, url incorrect or remote site is down.
Any thoughts?

The firmware in the M1XEP may not support your version of Windows —- please take a look at https://www.elkproducts.com/elk-m1xep-and-windows-compatibility/ . From this page run the Special M1XEP 2.0.34 Updater Utility and if necessary the Utility will try to update your M1XEP to firmware 2.0.34. Once it is updated you should also update your ElkRP2 to version 2.0.38 before trying the connection.
