The long awaited touchscreen beta version has apparently been out for a while. When will it be ready for general release?
December 11, 2024 at 7:19 pm #8632Michael BurrellAt this time, we’re looking at a two-stage release. The first stage will include only user-level functions. The second stage will include full installer-level features as well, such as configuring the system from the touchscreen with a login.
We hope to release the first stage after the first of the year. I apologize for the continued delays, but our goal is to ensure that it’s as ready as possible for this initial general release. I can confirm that this is the sole focus of our primary app developer
December 21, 2024 at 11:57 pm #8649Jeff NoelI’m glad to hear that you are going ahead with that two stage rollout you described. I really don’t care about performing installer functions on the touchscreen (it would be nice at times I guess, and I could see some use cases where it would be very important), but it is going to be used 99% of the time by the customer, so I’m glad they’ll finally be able to use it.
January 23, 2025 at 5:58 pm #8728Roberto TokiciHi Is there a touchscreen update arriving. The touchscreen seems clunky and it makes fissing sounds on the audio as you navigate. If there is a firmware update, how do you install it.
Thanks
January 23, 2025 at 6:40 pm #8729Michael BurrellRoberto – Yes, we are in the process of working to complete the first release of the E27 AE Touch Screen. I apologize to everyone that this is such a slow process, I know I have said this before but it is the highest priority for the app developer.
I am happy to provide you with access to the beta release of it, it is still missing a lot of features but does work much better than the place holder app that is on the unit. If your interested, you can provide me with the serial number of the touch screen and I will add you to the program and provide directions on updating the unit.
Thanks,
MikeFebruary 3, 2025 at 11:08 pm #8769Roberto TokiciHi Michael,
Serial is 100267373
Thanks.
February 4, 2025 at 6:19 pm #8778Michael BurrellRoberto – the beta update has been published. This device has been added to the group. You will get updates as they are released. I will start to thread that updates releases, so that you all can know when updates are being pushed out.
Thanks,
Mike

March 28, 2025 at 11:55 am #8930Roberto TokiciAny idea when we will get out of beta for the TS, just wondering if I have to provide another solution if this is not ready.
Thanks.
March 28, 2025 at 5:35 pm #8932Michael BurrellRoberto – We are getting very close. Based on my update today, I am hopeful we will have it ready in 6 weeks or so.
April 30, 2025 at 4:01 pm #9007JOHN WADETouchscreens seem to lose all settings randomly. Require rediscovery of local panels and then request network device linking credentials again. These items should be in non-volatile memory.
Please add s/n 100267932 to beta.
April 30, 2025 at 5:28 pm #9010Michael BurrellJohn,
This evening I will publish a new beta to all the beta devices. I will include the serial you listed.
We have not experienced any loss of settings. This is stored in non-volatile memory. That said, we are many versions past the beta that is out currently. Updating will provide you with version that is very close to first phase release.
I will update this thread when I publish it later this evening.
April 30, 2025 at 7:13 pm #9013Michael BurrellBeta update is published.
April 30, 2025 at 9:05 pm #9016Tomas NankoHi Michael,
Can we get release notes for the Touchscreen updates just like we get with resto of the devices?
