The long awaited touchscreen beta version has apparently been out for a while. When will it be ready for general release?

At this time, we’re looking at a two-stage release. The first stage will include only user-level functions. The second stage will include full installer-level features as well, such as configuring the system from the touchscreen with a login.
We hope to release the first stage after the first of the year. I apologize for the continued delays, but our goal is to ensure that it’s as ready as possible for this initial general release. I can confirm that this is the sole focus of our primary app developer
I’m glad to hear that you are going ahead with that two stage rollout you described. I really don’t care about performing installer functions on the touchscreen (it would be nice at times I guess, and I could see some use cases where it would be very important), but it is going to be used 99% of the time by the customer, so I’m glad they’ll finally be able to use it.
