Great to hear! Thanks again
May 23, 2025 at 8:19 am #9307Roberto TokiciAnything special to enable the Chime on the doors. The Chime setting is turned on in the zone list, and is turned on the front of the touchscreen. Panel is running 0.5.65 and Touchscreen is running 0.13.040. Could of swore it worked when first updated the firmware on the Touch and then moved it to final location and no more sounds at all. Does the touch have to be right on the drywall or ultra flush? have a small opening behind the touch on the drywall.
May 23, 2025 at 8:22 am #9308Roberto TokiciFactory defaulted the touch still nothing.
May 23, 2025 at 8:30 am #9309Roberto TokiciI see enable chime under network devices on the app as well. So it seems you have to turn on chime in 3 places?
May 23, 2025 at 8:34 am #9310Amy StricklandThat is correct, Roberto. The Chime toggle under Network Devices allows you to configure which touchscreens are allowed to chime. This allows the chime to be suppressed on certain touchscreens and there is a similar setting for data bus keypads. The zone chime option allows you to configure which zones are allowed to chime. The chime toggle on the home page of the touchscreen allows the user to turn the chime feature on and off by area, as desired.
May 26, 2025 at 9:38 am #9312JOHN WADEMichael, I have one s/n 100267932 that does not show an available update. It is running 0.12.166. I have others out there that are needing regular restarts.
May 26, 2025 at 9:49 am #9314Michael BurrellJohn,
SN 100267932 was not included in the Beta Group, I have just added it. If you do not see the update let me know.
We have not experienced a need for restarts, please provide additional details. It would be good to know the control firmware, touchscreen software version, and the reason for the restart.
Thanks,
Mike

July 4, 2025 at 8:59 pm #9380Wesley PerrySo I updated my panels and now it says no area configured but nothing changed in my settings. Tried doing another area and programming sensors to area 2 and testing and still nothing. Panels show zones fine just can’t arm/disarm etc since “no area configured” is coming up on Home Screen. Rebooted everything and still the same. Thoughts?

Please confirm your settings in the Network Devices section, confirm the touchscreen is assigned the correct area and settings.
Thanks,
Mike
July 7, 2025 at 8:51 am #9386Wesley PerryI have done that, they show the correct “area” number 1 and ive saved them multiple times and rebooted them again. I’ve even modified the chime and it does acknowledge and work when I change the settings. The zone list works fine on all touch panels as well. They even recognize the chime when I open a door. So they are talking to the panel.
My app is also working fine as well for arming/disarm. Just the 2 touch panels that updated keep saying “no area configured” on the Home Screen and I cannot disarm/arm on those panels but everything is connected and working besides that.
I am still running firmware 0.5.51 on the e27 because I cannot update main board to 0.5.65. My local discovery on multiple devices will not login and gets stuck right after entering code. However the cloud connection works fine and can get in.

I believe the issue is related to the version of the control. Since we are close to releasing the AE touchscreen application there are changes being made that are also corresponding with updates being made to the control to support them. I believe one was related to the area settings. I assume the issue your seeing is related.
That said, we will need work out how to get you connected locally for an update. Although, we are testing remote updating. So that might be an option as well. I am not sure why your seeing the issue connecting locally.
Do you have access to a SD Card?
I will talk with engineering for recommendations.
Thanks,
Mike

Ya i have no idea why local discovery cannot get passed “authenticating” or “retrieving system info”. It times out and then i cant try again unless i reset the App. I have multiple iOS devices that do the same thing. It used to work, i know that I used to get in locally on the app before. At least the cloud remote is still working just normally and fine for both admin (black interface) and user (blue interface) codes.
I assume its the Main board update i need to fix this issue which i seem to not be able to get into. I have reset my network, removed firewalls, tried redistricting IP communication in router rules to direct IPs from iOS to ELK and no luck to get in through local discovery. Is there any manual way to upload firmware?
I do have an SD card but it wasnt working on a previous unfixed issue (wifi panel wont stop rebooting itself and doesnt stay in sync with the POE panels with status) so I gave up on that lol.

I apologize I missed your reply.
If you have the SD, you can insert it into the control and use the SD Debugging. Enable this with the SD Card installed. Then attempt to connect a few times locally. Afterwards, pull the SD card out and copy the files. If you can get them to me, we can look at what it is doing and possibly gain an understanding of the issue.
Additionally, I can work with you on a special utility that we have that is not publicly available. Using this utility, I can walk you through updating it.
Just let me know which method you want to take. If you want to use the utility, email me at michael.burrell@elkproducts.com and we can discuss the process.
Thanks,
Mike
