The ELK-W120 fused, dual connection (piggyback) battery wires are designed to facilitate the connection of two devices to a battery. For example, a backup battery for an alarm system can also be connected to an alarm sounder, allowing the sounder pull power directly from the battery. This can be helpful when using an alarm sounder with a current draw rating exceeding what is available from the output of the alarm system.

The ELK-6052 utilizes photoelectric smoke detection, while both the ELK-6052 and ELK-6053 provide rapid rate-of-rise and fixed temperature heat detection. Both detectors feature ELK’s Two-Way Wireless technology to ensure reliability with encrypted communications, signal acknowledgement, and frequency hopping. ELK’s Sound All™ technology provides wireless interconnectivity of the built-in sounders. In the event of a fire alarm, two-way communication with the detectors allows the ELK M1 Control to activate the built-in sounders of all enrolled smoke and heat detectors during the alarm.
