ElkRP Help

Send/Rcv Menu: Send

Displayed as “Send [Item]” in the Send/Rcv menu, where [Item] represents the current page selected in ElkRP.

Sends one or more items from the currently open account to the system. ElkRP must be connected to the system. Items such as user codes, zone definitions, and communicator codes may be sent individually or as a group. The items are read from the database, then sent to and programmed in the system. This command does not allow you to send the date/time nor firmware updates. It does not allow you to arm/disarm the system, bypass zones, or activate outputs.

What is sent depends on what is on the screen or what is selected. For example, if the right pane is showing a single User definition, this command will send only that user to the system. If the list of all users is showing in the right pane, then this command will send all users to the system. What will be sent, whether a single item or a group of items, appears after the word Send in the menu. For the previous two examples, you would see Send User 1, and Send All Users, respectively. Examine the wording in the menu carefully to make sure you are sending what you intended.
