To add a new account to the database, click File then choose New Account. You can also use the New icon on the toolbar if no other accounts are open at the time.
In the New Account dialog window, assign the Account ID, select the system installed for this account, and enter the RP Access Code. If you enter the ID of an existing account, ElkRP will warn you and require you to select a different ID.
When the account is created, ElkRP must initialize all the information in the account to some value. You have two options for this, use factory default values, or copy the values already saved in another account or an account template. Select one or the other, then click OK.
Selecting Create default account will create the new account and populate each item in the account with the same values a new factory defaulted control has.
If you choose Copy program from another account and select an account from the list, the values saved in the selected account will be copied to the new account. This feature is useful if you create account templates. The templates would contain default values used in the majority of your installations. After creating a new account from a template, you simply change the account specific information (such as user codes and communicator account numbers).
After adding a new account, the Account Details screen appears. You should fill in all the information on this screen that you can at this time.
