Most of your accounts will be programmed with similar information. Because of this, it is useful to set up one or more default account templates. Then whenever you create a new account, you can copy the values in the template to the new account.
Account templates are treated similarly to regular accounts. You may open, edit, and save them. To create a new template, open an existing template or account, make the desired changes, and save it as a template using the Save Account As option in the File menu.
When you create a new account, ElkRP asks whether you want to create it using default factory values or values copied from another account. Select Copy program from another account, and click on the template to copy from. The new account will be created with the values saved in the specified template.
Whenever Elk Products releases a new firmware update for a system, you should create a new template for the new version firmware. Then, when creating new accounts having the latest firmware, you are sure to copy from a template including the latest features.
